حكايا المدينة القديمة

بدأ العمل على هذا المشروع في شتاء 2024، حين لاحظنا أن أزقة المدينة القديمة تفقد ملامحها عامًا بعد عام. لم نكن نريد توثيقًا معماريًا، بل شهادةً حيّة ممن يسكنونها.

Work began in the winter of 2024, when we noticed the old city's alleyways were losing their character year by year. We weren't after an architectural record, but a living testimony from the people who inhabit them.

على مدى ستة أشهر، رافقنا أربعة عشر حرفيًا وتاجرًا في يومهم المعتاد. صوّرنا الأيدي وهي تعمل، والأبواب وهي تُفتح عند الفجر، والأصوات التي تملأ الزقاق قبل أن يبدأ السوق.

Over six months we accompanied fourteen craftspeople and merchants through an ordinary day. We filmed hands at work, doors opening at dawn, and the sounds that fill the alley before the market starts.

ما تراه هنا مقتطف من ثلاث ساعات من المادة المصوّرة، اخترناها لأنها تحمل التوتر نفسه الذي شعرنا به: مدينةٌ تعرف أنها تتغيّر، وتحاول أن تروي نفسها قبل أن يفوت الوقت.

What you see here is an excerpt from three hours of footage, chosen because it carries the same tension we felt: a city that knows it is changing, trying to tell its own story before the time runs out.
